Born and raised in Romania, Anica's life took a dramatic turn when she was married at just 15. She became a mother at 16 and by the age of 24, she was raising six children on her own. With no support but her unwavering faith in God, she overcame years of hardship and domestic abuse to create a life of strength, independence, and purpose. “Failure was never an option,” she says, and she meant it.

At 25, Anica earned her GED and enrolled in community college in Tampa. Her passion for real estate was sparked when she sold her marital home. During the sale, she stepped in to protect the buyer who was being taken advantage of. She refused to let the deal close until their agent made it right. That experience ignited something in her. Soon after, she began her real estate career and was featured in Tampa Bay Magazine’s "Women in Business – Leaders by Design," a spotlight on ten standout women across different industries.

When the 2008 housing crash shook the market, Anica pivoted but never strayed far from her love of homes. She founded Phoenix Remodeling and worked directly in the field, specializing in flooring, stonework, and hardcoat stucco. It wasn’t uncommon to see her working shoulder-to-shoulder with her crew on luxury properties. In an industry dominated by men, she earned respect not through words, but through her unmatched work ethic and commitment to quality. “It wasn’t as hard as people think,” she says. “If you know what you’re doing, work hard, and stay dedicated, you earn people’s trust.”
